AQU@TEACH – new tool to teach and learn aquponics

We are pleased to announce that Erasmus + AQU@TEACH project has released AQU@TEACH, a unique multidisciplinary curriculum for Higher Education.

The 15 module Aquaponics Curriculum and the supplementary Entrepreneurial Skills module can be taught either using blended learning or as an instructor-led, cohort-based e-learning course.

The Aquaponics Curriculum is intended for tertiary level teachers who want to introduce basic aquaponics to their students. The student workload for the entire curriculum is 150 hours (5 ECTS). The supplementary Entrepreneurial Skills module (60 hours, 2 ECTS) builds on the knowledge which students will have gained through completing the 15 modules of the Aquaponics Curriculum, and introduces the main processes involved in developing a business idea into a start-up company – business models, customer segmentation, value proposition, marketing and pricing, and financing.

The Moodle files, curriculum guides, module guides, textbooks, and associated resources – Teaching Aquaponics: Best Practice Guide and Toolbox of Innovative Didactic Techniques for Higher Education – are freely available on Aquateach website: https://aquateach.wordpress.com/
