Nordic Algae Symposium 2022

A merge event of Nordic Algae Symposium 2022 (NAS22) and the last annual symposium of NordAqua. The purpose of the symposium is: Elevating Nordic algal biotechnology: from fundamental photosynthesis to industry. The conference will be organised as an onsite event in Turku, Finland.

Elevating Nordic algal biotechnology: from fundamental photosynthesis to industry conference will take place in Turku, Finland from 8th to 10th June 2022. The three-day conference will bring together excellent teams from academia and industry, and focuses on advances with cyanobacteria, micro-and macroalgae.

The conference merges the Nordic Algae Symposium 2022 (NAS22) and the last annual symposium of NordAqua, the Nordic Centre of Excellence (NCoE) funded by the NordForsk Bioeconomy Programme (2017-2022). NordAqua is a Nordic network of ten academic institutes along with several industrial partners with a goal of developing a value chain of activities for transition to a sustainable blue bio-economy. The series of annual Nordic Algae Symposia was initiated in 2018 by the University of Turku and has been organized in different Nordic countries to provide a professional arena for Nordic algaeneers.”

The Conference Organiser continuously monitors the COVID-19 situation and the guidelines for health and safety. The conference will be held as an online conference if the pandemic situation so requires. Participants will be informed by 3 May if this is the case. The conference fee for the online conference is the same as for the onsite conference.
