Nordic Seaweed Conference

AlgeCenter Danmark is a collaboration between three instututions: Aarhus University, Danish Technological Institute and the Kattegatcentre.  The consortium formed in 2011 under which a number of research projects operate. The purpose of AlgeCenter Danmark is to find out how algae can be used as a new resource in a world where traditional resources are under pressure. A number of research projects serve to find out how algae can be used for sustainable energy, food, medicine and food ingredients.

The objective of AlgeCenter Danmark is to explore the potential of producing biogas from algae and the use of residues as fertilizer for organic crop production. An important tool in order to move forward is the plant at Grenaa Harbour in Denmark, where algae can be grown and research carried out.

Join the 11th Nordic Seaweed Conference on the 12 and 13 October 2022 in Grenaa, Denmark.  Be inspired by novel input from the field of seaweed research and industry. Take the excellent opportunity to network and find new project and business partners.
